It’s a dogs natural instinct to run. Some dogs figure out the motion of the treadmill slowly and some figure it out right away. Most of the time they figure out within a few minutes how to move the treadmill.
Talk with your vet for their assessment on your pet’s ability to participate in this form of exercise. Before your appointment make sure your pet is hydrated and no eating 2 hours beforehand. Also a trip to the bathroom is an absolute necessity. Get them hyped up and ready to zoom.
For their first Zoomies run it’s recommended that you accompany them while they meet me and learn how to use the treadmills. Your presence will be an encouragement and affirmation for them.
Not for all breeds but definitly for most! Some dog breeds are not recommended for this sort of exercise. Please call for more specific information.
I've been around dogs my entire life. In my own pack it varies from our 10lbs Shitzu-Poodle mix to my Boss Dog Zorro, a 170lbs Great Dane and two other dogs of 70 and 110lbs and I love them all. They've all been raised by me since they were puppies. I've never had any fear of dogs regardless of their temperament
I don't believe there are any bad dogs, and I certainly have no fear of working with troubled dogs. They may take some extra time and extra love but they are worth the effort. The moment when they feel your trust in them and they find trust in you too is amazing. I would relish the opportunity to show them that they have nothing to fear and can be confident and proud animals.
Give me a call to discuss your dogs own unique situation and we will work together to help your dog find their paws in the zoom room.
