As you can see in this video, Lulu has complete control of the treadmills motion. When she wants to stop she can, and can easily restart her forward motion.
Rocky is a bit of a phenomenon. He figured out the treadmill motion on day one which is quite unusual. Now on his third run he has become very comfortable and I'm just waiting for him to unleash his inner wolf and go full Zoomies!
